First Nutcracker!

Since ballet class is one of the highlights of Abby Jane's life right now, and our girls are all about dressing up and performing, we decided this is the year for Abby Jane's first Nutcracker! I have so many distinct memories of going to the Nutcracker as a little girl, so it was extremely special to share that experience with my oldest girl! Jodi and I decided a while back for us to come up to the show in Chattanooga that she and HER oldest, Katie, have been to. The girls were so thrilled to be going in that our adult pace was a bit too slow for them!

Both of these ladies had their birthday around Thanksgiving, so their birthday gift was this fun afternoon!
Abby Jane was in a big hurry to get to our seats even though we had plenty of time to spare- see her practically sprinting to be right on the heels of the usher?!
The girls enjoyed looking down in the orchestra pit.
They weren't the only little girls who thought that would be fun! It was so precious to see all the little ladies in their Christmas best with their moms, aunts, and grandparents!

The Tivoli is much like a smaller, more intimate version of the Fox here in Atlanta.
The crew of oldest girls, moms, and grandmoms. We sure missed Susan, Ashley, and Betsy!
Afterwards we got hot chocolate and coffees and enjoyed them in a beautifully decorated hotel lobby next door.

Chattanooga has beautiful window displays that we all walked around and enjoyed before heading back home!

It was such a fantastic time- oh, and Abby LOVED the ballet. Her mouth was open almost the entire time, and she spent a good deal of the ballet literally on the edge of her seat. Such a delight to pass down this tradition and weave it into the must-do list of our little family's Christmas!
