The grand finale was their dance to "Joy to the World" that they had been working on for a couple of months. Precious!!
Here are the cupcakes I made on Thursday afternoon for Abby Jane's class party on Friday. I thought they were so fun and took my little picture... BUT on party day... the peppermints had definitely melted a little (despite being kept chilled) and the red and run down on the cupcakes. They were for sure struggling a bit but YEA for four- year-olds who don't notice these little things!!
Abby Jane wrote her own little tags on her friends' candy canes- this was a first for her!
Thursday night was Abby Jane's school Christmas program, and all the grandparents came out for it. This was also Abby Jane's first program at school that we let the twins stay up past their bedtimes to come to. They LOVED it. Abby Jane has a second cousin who goes to the same school, so it turns out that the row in front of us was full of aunts, uncles, and cousins of ours. So fun!
Abby Jane told the check-out ladies at Old Navy and Target, as well as a random woman she stopped in the produce section at the grocery store that she had a program at school that night and that her sisters were coming. All day long, she was bouncing off the walls with delight over the program. Then when it came down to it, she was a pretty serious little angel who had a pretty seriously fabulous time!
Jake took this shot of all the parental paparazzi.
There were cookies in the classrooms afterwards- this sealed the deal for Blythe and Joy on the awesomeness of the night. Cherry on top- Joy licked the water fountain on her way out of the school- I can't think of many more disgusting things- and she got a stomach bug in the middle of the night last night to show for it. Moral of the story- just eat your cookie and don't lick water fountains.
Friday was the class party, and Abby Jane was thrilled to be surprised by her handsome daddy! Abby Jane's class is just chock full of sweet little people and they have precious parents to go with them. I have loved seeing how many dads come with the moms to these parties, so it was really fun for Jake to make it work into his schedule to come make her day.
Ms Tricia blesses Abby Jane's heart every day- I am so grateful for this kind, wonderful lady.
Here are a few of Abby's sweet friends. Precious!!
