Pottytraining!!
She has been doing many parts of this mighty feat for months- she started a few weeks before Blythe and Joy joined us, but I was quite obviously not prepared to take that on at that time. So both grandmamas have spent some time at our home this week be extra sets of hands!
We have spent some time outside and a lot of time in the kitchen (closer to the potty) with our easel. Jake's mom is an artist- the following sketch of Abby Jane was very appropriate to this week's focus!
but it's not a totally done deal yet.
So here's a poll... is it cheating to tell her to go once an hour and stay dry that way (yesterday, totally dry!)? Or should I just let her find out the not-so-dry way that she need to visit the facilities and not help by making her stop playing and sit?

We just did the visit-the-potty-frequently method and then had a small reward when she succeeded. She will have her accidents without you wanting her to and those will probably be enough for her to realize that the potty way is best! Good luck!
we took her lots the first day but it never clicked for her when she needed to go. the next day we watched her like a hawk and ran her there. there were NO accidents from that point on -- she maybe has had 3 accidents from day 2 of training. but you will feel like that will NOT be the result for your child, but for us, that was the best way for her to learn how to know when she needed to go.
I have no advice. She started on her own months ago, but then hasn't had but the tiniest bit of interest ever since. And then, it's only for the m&ms.
I would say MAKE her go until she starts saying she needs to go and is having little to no accidents. You can start at an hour, but then stretch those times longer to every couple of hours.
