My precious Blythe and Joy turned one yesterday! My youngest little blessings have now been in my family for 366 delightful days. We had a big party for them yesterday, more to come on that, and it was extremely important to me to make as much personalized to them as possible.
So there was a good deal of work on details like handmade invitations (HUGE thanks to my dear friend Jen, who made me a template to use!)...

monogramming the runner...

and of course pumpkin dresses for the pumpkin party, but those pics will be on the party post. Then there was the food that I got carried away with. Here are the favor cookies,

and the pumpkin cupcakes! My precious mom-in-law watched the girls all day Friday for me to make cookies, cupcakes, smash cakes, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin trifle, etc. etc. She was a HUGE help!

Jake spent his Friday afternoon getting the yard all cleaned up. He put in some serious time on all the leaves that dumped on our yard in the last week, but I have to say he had to have had one of the most glorious days of the year to be outside! He was also excited to use his new weedeater...
Birthday pics to come tomorrow!
